In the second quarter of 2024, the performance of the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform in Kuwait showed diverse trends. Here, we explore the weekly downloads and active user metrics for the leading apps in this category.

Careem – rides, food & more saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 1.4K in the final week of June. Weekly active users also showed steady growth, starting at approximately 16.6K in early April and reaching nearly 18.5K by the end of the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a gradual rise in weekly downloads, with numbers increasing from 298 in the first week of April to 564 in the last week of June. However, weekly active users fluctuated slightly, beginning at roughly 19.5K and stabilizing around 18.6K by the quarter's end.

inDrive. Save on city rides had a consistent uptrend in weekly downloads, growing from 186 in the first week of April to 470 in the final week of June. Weekly active users showed a slight decline, starting at 3.1K and ending the quarter at approximately 3K.

Careem Captain witnessed moderate weekly download numbers, peaking at 302 in early June. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 800 throughout the quarter.

Lastly, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver observed a steady weekly download trend, reaching 252 in the last week of June. The number of weekly active users saw a slight increase, starting at 634 and ending at 640.
